Wow, I can't put less then a one. I made the disastrous choice of bringing my mother and father to this restaurant while they were visiting from Houston, Texas. They absolutely loved the area. Someone mentioned being hungry so in choosing between the place next door and this place I chose Seagles. Well, that was embarrassing! We waited at the door and after sometime a young woman came from the back and was very rude from the get go. We finally get seated an get menus. We wait and wait and wait. After 35 minutes of no one taking our drink order much less a food order. We look around and realize no one has food and some have no drink. So, very embarrassed, I had to get everyone out of the door and over to the restaurant next door. When we stood up to leave the waitress said, If you go into the bar you will get your food faster. Needless to say we won't be back and will not recommend this restaurant to our friends and family.
About what you'd expect. Food was okay - nothing bad but nothing worth returning for. Service was alright - efficient and not unfriendly, but not amazing. Honestly it's fine if you're arriving after a long day of driving and just wanna eat and go to bed. But if you're looking for great food, maybe head elsewhere
Picture this, you and your two children are the only people in the entire restaurant. The greeter tells you not to sit in a certain section because it was dirty it takes a total of 10 minutes for the server to bring you three soft drinks that were grossly overpriced. I decided to leave without dining and asked for to go cups for our drinks. The waitress didn't return for another 15 minutes I saw her walk over to our table as we were in the car headed out. Wish i could give no stars for poor customer service and a dirty table.
Not sure what's up with all these negative reviews. My experience was better than excellent; good food perfectly prepared, served fast and piping hot. The price was exceptionally low for a seaside restaurant. ...less than most land locked chain seafood restaurants. (TIP...reserve the corner window table for 2...the view is great!)
So my family and I are staying in st. marys for the weekend and we thought it would be a good plan to go to seagles for dinner, not. I wish I could give it less than one star because if I could I would. I honestly think the good reviews are written by the owners because I truly don't know how they could get more then one star. my mom got shrimp scampi and not only did she literally find A PIECE OF METAL in her pasta, they also didn't really seem to believe us and only took $10 off our bill when that pasta alone was $15, overpriced. We should've walked out the minute we got a weird feeling about the place, I felt like I was in the twilight zone. and now it is the next morning and my mother has food poisoning. don't eat here, please.
